FIRST: Save your work as all of your browser windows will need to be closed during this up date process.
SECOND: Force the issue by directly going to the update page:
THIRD: Read the results. If you see the “Relaunch” button, then you need to click it to complete the update of Chrome.
FOURTH: When Chrome relaunches, repeat the second step above, and look for your confirmation that “Google Chrome is up to date.”
